Hello and welcome to our site! We are here to enlighten you about Gun Control. We believe in defending the right to bear arms, ensuring our right to life, maintaining personal security, and informing the public on how gun bans violate these essential rights and help you have a better life. Gun control is a very controversial issue, especially since violent acts have been recently performed using such weapons. We are simply here to show you the benefits of arming the populace and how to make guns work for us. Please do not get offended by our materials as this is just our point of view and we do not wish to upset anyone. We wish for everyone to be safe, happy and intelligent!
There are many examples of ways that guns can be used wrongly. They’re used to kill people, create fear and ultimately control people. But it is not the gun killing anyone just as it is not the spoon that makes people fat. Yet having a gun can have positive effects, if you use it appropriately and with the right mind set. It offers protection, defense and the feeling of security in your home, life, and mind.
We are here to show you that Guns aren’t as bad as many people would have you think. They are there for your protection, to help you, not to harm you. Every item has a good use and a bad use, but when used properly they can open windows of opportunities for us. Just because you don’t know how an item works, doesn’t mean you should ban it. You have yet to discover what it could do for us.
So please read our material with a cool mind and provide feedback if you wish! We would love to receive input from our users about how to better our argument, or things we might have done wrong, and we are open to many ideas and opinions. Thank you!
Great Job! I totally agree with this writer. Very well written article. I support writer's point of view.

gun control RULES!!!!! Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
ReplyDelete-Sister
I believe that everyone shouldn't have to pay on account of few idiots. But having said that education seems to be lacking when we do allow people to have guns. I agree with the writer that spoon doesnt make someone fat. I personally own a rifle and I believe other should as well if they choose too. But there needs to be a better fileration system in place so guns are not readily available to every thug and bandit. Combined with harsh penalties for firearm offences I believe we can find a happy medium between both sides.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the article.

ReplyDeleteYour spoon philosophy is excellent.
ReplyDeleteEvery debatable controversy in the history of America boils down to one thing, and that is the minority vs. the majority. What is best for a small portion, versus a large portion of the U.S. Gun control is something that is advisable in a country such as the U.S. where it seems like we misuse and abuse everything we have (rough generalization, but the "reign of freedom" and "do what I want" is more prevalent in U.S. than other countries). It protects the majority of people, who are likely gun-owning, responsible citizens, from the non-law abiding, criminalistic peoples that will abuse guns.
So should we prohibit them because of a small portion of our population? The answer is no. Guns benefit the majority, whether it be for recreation, to stimulate the economy through sales, or simply for protection. So don't punish everyone for a few individuals. We're not in Kindergarten; everyone won't lose time at recess just for one kid peeing on the floor of the bathroom.
The solution herein lies in moderating, and not controlling. Control implies the government has reign to do what it pleases with the limitations of firearms, and quite frankly, I trust the government as much as I trust the 16 year old cashier at Harris Teeter to correctly ring up my total. If gun control is to be implemented, it should first be known as gun MODERATION, and then, policies should be in place allowing citizens to hold firearms under certain circumstances (such as possible background checks, if questionable, and other preventative means) and policies that would also prohibit the government from gaining control of the limitation of firearms. Checks and balances. Rousseau, baby.
Other than that, you are correct, and I agree in full with you. Most people that are for gun control do not likely understand the significant impact guns have on this nation, and for that, educating them about firearms is next in line. People fear what they do not know (said a person that I cannot recall at the moment), so make it known, and eliminate that fear.
Gun moderation, my man. Well written. Hope we get you some dank extra credit.

Yea, i completely agree with this. It is not fair to punish people for the views of others. I feel that the only reason this issue has even come up is because of the influx of violent gun acts and although this is very sad and, even I got moved with the passions of the people, it is not fair to punish the whole population. Although I do agree that somewhat stricter laws should be passed (universal background checks, longer waiting periods, etc.) to curb this small population of crazies. This was a great article, Way to go Josh & Group.
ReplyDeleteyes, i really agree with u. very well written keep it up.

Gun control is a joke. It doesn't work and only dictators and tyrants truly believe in it, however a vast majority of the population can't think for themselves and just believes what the government tells them therefore gun control is becoming evident in our society. I like to use the example of the Boston bombing as an excellent example of anti gun control (though your spoon analogy was awesome and hilarious). At the Boston bombing, they blamed the bomber, not the bomb. Yet with gun control, they are blaming the gun and not the shooter. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your assertion. Gun control laws and all of this political talk really do nothing for the actual problem that our country is facing. Law makers can ban guns but the people who want to kill will somehow find a way to get their hands on one if they want to. We're not stopping violence by enforcing these laws, instead, we are diminishing a barrier that innocent civilians had against possible danger. By enforcing these laws, we are doing exactly what we did not want to do - the law does not keep criminals from obtaining guns because they have their ways, but it does keep law abiding citizens from their ability to defend themselves. I think that guns should not be restricted, however, we must find more effective ways to ensure safety of schools and other public places that have been common targets recently.
ReplyDeleteThere are ways to defend yourself other than with a gun. When you look at how many people are killed in homicides involving a firearm in the US each year, it's an average of almost 10,000 (that's not even including the death toll of those killed in gun-related accidents). Look at countries where guns are illegal, such as the UK, Norway, & Japan. They have on average 41, 2, and 11 each year, respectively. Guns are dangerous & totally unnecessary objects. They don't just need to be controlled, they ought to be banned entirely for the civilian population.
ReplyDeleteI really love all the thought, effort and heart that went into this. It informs everyone of a very controversial issue at the moment and enlightens us on a different view of it. I really enjoyed reading your opinions.

totally agree
ReplyDelete~your friend :)
This is you sister! I totally agree with what your saying. Guns are just an object its the person that holds the gun that makes the decision to pull the trigger.
ReplyDeleteI agree that guns can be used for good or bad just like any other object.
ReplyDeleteHowever I think that there should be strict limitations on who receives a gun and strict guidelines for which guns should be for sale to the people.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Someone who feels a need to protect himself from someone with a gun by using a gun himself is likely to be the one to use it first, and cause the killing or injury.
ReplyDelete"When used properly, they can open windows of opportunity for us?" Will a gun get me a job, get my daughter into the college of her choice, discover a cure for cancer, or the Alzheimer's Disease my mother has?
I believe in your right to freedom to own a gun, but not an assault weapon (and not for certain segments of the population who are unable to control themselves (mentally ill), and not if it impinges on my right to safety. If guns were not manufactured, people couldn't be killed or injured by them.
The non-propaganda-spreading members of our government and our media are not looking to take away your rights - they are looking to insure EVERYONE'S rights. Guns are NOT cool.
I agree with the writer and am saddened by some of the comments. Assault weapons are not generally available and are not the target of the anti-gun lobby. The anti-gun lobby shows full on military weapons in their propaganda and then lobbies for banning assault-style weapons. This is similar to banning a consumer model jeep because no one "needs" a full-on military Humvee (aka Hummer H1, aka HMMWV).
ReplyDeleteGood luck!

ReplyDeletekanza and Team keep up the good work, some one have to say some thing and you said well
good job. nice work. My opinion is next time give a little more examples how guns can be harmful and dangerous. For instance, theft, robbery, threatening to kill a close loved one just for money to either but drugs or living purpose. Even gangs have such weapons or the homeless.
ReplyDeleteBy giving examples this will help the reader picture and understand what your point is. Its good though overall.
